This year, it will be he first time, that our big event, the world-meeting will be held in Switzerland.
We are pleased to welcome Simca- Talbot- and Matra-enthusiasts from all over the world to the heart of Europe.
The location of the event is in a beautiful part of our country, in the midst of the “Berne Sealand”, with nice lakes and it is easy to reach. Lyss is located between the Cities of Berne and Biel.
The area is bilingual, (Swiss)German and (Swiss)French.

Arrivals by night, after 22:00 and before 08:00
The reception area at the entrance will be occupied all night. Nevertheless, registrations of new arrivals can not take place during the time mentioned above.
Participants, who arrived through the night, should register from 08:00 the next morning at reception. They will then receive their documents and giveaways (Please refer to page 8).
Sightseeing routes:
We will prepare three different routes, that can be followed individually by the participants. These routes will be exactly described, and additional direction signs “SIMCA” will be placed on the road.
The area around Lyss offers a lot of things to see and visit.
On site, you will find additional proposals for visiting other nice sightseeing spots in the vicinity of Lyss.
Catering:
The meeting area includes a large swimming pool. Access to the pool area is included in the meeting fee. There is a restaurant, seating 150 people, that will offer daily menus for CHF 14.- (EUR 10.-), amongst various other food and drinks.
Lodging:
Camping
The easiest way to spend the night is in a tent, right on the spot. Camping on site is included in the entrance fee. The infrastructure is all there, wash basins, shower, toillettes are in the nearby pool area.
Pensions / B & B
In Berne (approx. 30 Km) is the nearest Swiss Youth Hostel. The room prices are CHF 33.- / EUR 22.- per Night. You must have a valid youth hostel membercard. Membership for one year is CHF 33.- / EUR 22.-. You can get the membership card in your country or through www.youthhostel.ch .

How to get there:
Motorway-Vignette
In Switzerland every car, that wants to use the motorways, must carry a sticker on the windscreen, the motorway-vignette. It is kind of a street tax, and costs CHF 40.- per year. This is approximately EUR 26.-. This vignette is then valid fort he whole year 2004. The sticker is available at customs at the entrance to Switzerland, or at gas stations and post offices.
Route / Map
The easiest way to find Lyss, besides a GPS system in the car, is an online route planner on the Internet, like the Guide Michelin ( www.viamichelin.com ) or other route planners.
You can enter your present location and your destination, and the route planner calculates the quickest or the shortest way to your destination. Map and directions can then be printed out.
Lyss is located on the motorway E 27, between Bern and Biel. Take the exit “Lyss Nord“, then direction Lyss. After crossing a bridge over a small river, take the first right in the next roundabaout, then the first right again. This will be „Werdtstrasse“. Follow this road until you reach the entrance and reception to our meeting area.

Entering Switzerland:
Since Switzerland is not a member of the EU, goods, which are destined for sale, must be declared and duty payed upon crossing the boarder. This is mainly true for professional parts dealers. Goods for personal use up to CHF 300.- (ca. EUR 200.-) per person can be imported taxfree.
